Wire rope and its maintenance

 

1. Wire rope in the course of the use, should prevent the wire rope ring, kink, bending or sticking debris, to prevent friction with mechanical or other debris.

2. After the installation of the tower crane (before use) should be lubricated with steel wire rope, coated with graphite grease again, after the lubrication of the rope by "crane lubrication table".

3. The overall design of the tower crane does not allow the rope to have an indefinite life, and one of the following conditions should be scrapped:

A. Wire rope 6 × 19-d (d wire rope diameter) in the length of 6d within the number of broken wire more than 5, in the 30d length of the number of broken wire more than 10.

B. Wire rope 6 × 37-d (d wire rope diameter) in the length of 6d within the number of broken wire more than 10, in the 30d length of the number of broken wire more than 19.

C. Wire rope close together, even if the length of the cut in the 6d no more than 5, should also be scrapped.

D. Although the wire rope is not broken, but the rope wear to 40% of its diameter, or wire rope relative to the nominal diameter of 7% or more, or wire rope bending.

E. Wire rope lost normal shape, resulting in deformity, such as waves, cage distortion, rope extrusion, wire extrusion, rope diameter localized, kink, rope diameter local smaller, part of the flattened, bent.

F. Wire rope by a special thermal effect, the external appears to identify the color.
